Parameters detection and optimal control of combustion system
Parameters detection and optimal control of combustion system

Online laser network combustion parameter testing system based on TDLAS technology can measure the average concentration and temperature of O2, CO and H2O simultaneously. Usually, the system adopts grid format on one or several layers of the boiler to arrange multiple paths, and obtains the analysis chart of gas concentration and temperature profile at furnace chamber combustion section. The system is also called boiler CT.

Combustion optimization based on boiler CT   The optimization process is as follows: use the temperature field data measured in real time with boiler CT, combine other process parameters such as unit load and pulverized coal concentration, use advanced technologies such as expert database, artificial neural network and self-adaptive control to perform combustion optimization control, optimize the combustion operation mode of boilers such as air configuration and coal configuration on line, use the special combustion optimization modules of combustion optimization controller to analyze and calculate the current combustion situations, then output the deviation signal continuously to DCS which will adjust the pendulum angle of burner and secondary air baffle opening degree, and finally form a complete combustion optimization closed-loop control, enabling the boiler to continuously stabilize at the state of optimized combustion.

Technical indicators:

  • Range of temperature measurement:  500℃-1700℃

Expected effects

Leveraging the measurement results of boiler CT and combining boiler combustion optimization adjustments, it is expected to realize:

  • Increasing boiler efficiency, and reducing coal consumption by power generation by 0.5-1%

  • Increasing the adaptability of boiler to coal type change, and ensuring the stable operation of boiler

  • Increasing the response capacity of boiler in power grid scheduling and load increase/decrease

  • significantly reducing the emission of noxious gases

  • Effectively monitoring and preventing the damages to water wall tubes caused by boiler coking and combustion imbalance, and decreasing the accidents of pipe explosion
